4,600,000 won~  for 4 weeks!

 

Location: University near Seoul

SAT Critical Reading,  SAT Math, SAT Writing, and other AP subjects

 

Teaching is FUN and rewarding at Korea Toynbee Academy.  Toynbee has been a successful test preparation institution for the last 5 years. Our students are highly motivated and focused, and their grade levels are from elementary to high school kids.

 

-Leading instructors must have degree in Literature, English, Classics.

 

-Math instructors must have degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

 

-Verbal and Writing instructors must have degree in English, Classics, Writing, or a related field.

 

-AP Subjects (History, Science, Economics, etc) instructors must have a bachelor’s degree in the specific subjects or related field.

 

Masters degree or higher is a strong plus. We also require a minimum of 2 years of teaching and/or tutoring experience. College teaching assistant background is also a plus. 

 

Working Periods and Pay:

-You should board at the camp.

-Meals and board are provided

- No class on the weekends

-Teaching hours: 9AM to 6PM (app. 6-8 hours /day)

-pay; 4,600,000 won ~  for 4 weeks!

-Periods: 2012 June. 25^th   to  2012 July. 20^th

We are accepting applications for the well known Korean test prep company, Steven Academy Co. Inc which is in Seoul(South Korea) and in Irvine branch campus. The hired teachers will be teaching classes of 10 or so, one-on-one tutoring, individualized homework help, or if desired but not required, even shoot Video-on-Demand (VOD) video for our online offerings. We are looking for applicants able to teach the following subjects:

  SAT I Critical Reading, Writing

  SAT II (Math, Chemistry, Physics, English Literature, US or World History)

  School Subjects and homework help in English, Social Sciences, Math, or Physical/Life Sciences

  Math (including Algebra 1/2, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus, and a math instructor must teach all of these subsections)

  AP Economics (Micro/Macro), Calculus AB/BC, Statistics, US or World History, Chemistry, Physics B/C, Biology, Psychology, English Literature, English Language and Composition, Government and Politics: US or Comparative

 

Work Specifics:

  Full-time, or Part-time (three days a week, or two, or one day a week possible too for some subjects)

  Teachers able to teach on Saturdays and Sundays favored

  After hire, teacher may elect to and be accepted to work at the Seoul (South Korea) head office (housing, $1000 airfare subsidy provided for full-time, minimum one-year contract)

  Full-time: 4pm to 10pm weekdays, 9am to 10pm weekends, 9am to 10pm during school breaks (although a teach would not teach all those times and would not be required to be in the office when teachers classes are not in session)

  No Irvine campus housing, transportation (gas, car), "opportunity cost" (non-teaching hour) stipend

  $30 per 50 minute hour (paid first business day of following month)

 

Requirements:

  Bachelors degree (preferably in subject taught)

  Teaching experience highly preferred but not necessary
