[Hilton Niseko Village] Manager, Marketing & Communications

As Marketing and Communication Manager, you are responsible for the promotion of the hotel, its images, facilities, and services to the general public, customers, the hotel, and the community. He or she is also responsible for gaining positive exposure for the Hotel in the mass media and the community, as well as building a solid presence in the market by maintaining good relationships with the press and the local community. The below listed are examples of tasks you will be required to complete (the list is not exhaustive and it may be updated at any time with appropriate notice):


-Develop and implement the hotel marketing and communication plan for the hotel activities and promotions in coordination with various revenue-earning departments in the hotel (i.e. sales, food and beverage, spa, etc.)
-Budgeting and managing the hotel’s marketing cost in order to generate the best ROI for the hotel.
-Managing suppliers (printing companies, PR agencies, photographers and etc…) in order to complete required activities in a timely manner.
-Development of good relations with the media (print, broadcast, etc.) and implementation of the hotel’s publicity campaign.
-Coordination and implementation of various hotels projects in liaison with other hotel departments and/or outside organizations/ government bureaus.
-Overall supervision of production of the hotel printed materials to ensure compliance with Hilton Identity Guidelines.
-Work with Hilton web marketing to ensure digital content about hotels on hotel home pages and 3rd parties pages are updated at all times.
-To coordinate with all activities concerning publicity in film shooting, photo shooting, interviews by local & overseas media etc… which includes assisting General Manager with media and guest/staff communications during any hotel emergency or safety situation.
-To ensure press releases are sent to all local & regional newspapers and magazines on all happenings/ events in the hotel.
-Checks periodically to ensure the photo library is updated in line with corporate requirements.
-Monitors Hilton’s presence in media and updates Management on key movements and marketing data as required
-Regular communication & entertainment with the local press.



Qualifications

-Previous experience with marketing or public relation in the hotel/leisure sector is desirable
-Business-level conversation and creative writing in English and Japanese is a Must.
-Extensive knowledge of Ad. / Media Planning and printing/ production process.
-PC knowledge: Word, Excel, Web, and basic knowledge of Desktop Publishing System.
-Strong skill in project management and time management.
-Analytical skills to understand trends and hotel performance to develop required marketing activities.
-Accountable and resilient.
-Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

-Previous experience in the same or similar role
-Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility
-Relevant degree, in a business or marketing discipline, from an academic institution
-A strong relationship with various media (magazine, website, TV and etc…)
-Skills and knowledge about designing systems (photoshop and publisher)
